Job Description

NetCentrics is a leading provider of enterprise systems management, solutions engineering, applications development, information assurance, computer network defense and cybersecurity for The Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies.

 

NetCentrics is seeking a Business Development Executive (BDE) to support our business development activities within the Department of Defense (DoD) market. Responsibilities include new customer acquisition, lead generation, prospect management, and working with a small team of Account Executives/Managers to achieve corporate goals for growth, revenue, and margins.  Researches client business referrals, network, and web leads. The BDE will provide prospective customers with all services offered, and additional presentations as needed. The BDE will work with customers to create solutions for their needs and consult through the business development process. The selected candidate will be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to capture new work, close sales and increase revenue.

 

Specific duties and Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities
  • Collaborating with BD, Ops and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Establishing new customer relationships leading to high pWin bidding opportunities
  • Developing customized targeted BD and Capture strategies
  • Creating informative presentations; Presenting and delivering information to potential customers at customer meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
  • Coordinating business generation activities
  • Responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Answering potential customer questions and follow-up call questions
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect customers
  • Maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
  • Maintaining database of prospective opportunities and customer information
  • Understanding customer needs and offering solutions and support
  • Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
  • Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
  • Winning new work and working with internal support functions, Operations and customers through kickoff and transition
  • Meeting or exceeding annual revenue goals
  • Collaborating with management on BD goals, planning, and forecasting
  • Building and maintaining an extensive pipeline with an emphasis on opportunities developed from customer relationships and through disciplined Capture practices
  • Working with Account Managers to penetrate targeted accounts and achieve organic and new business growth targets
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism, diplomacy, and business acumen to always portray the company in a positive manner

Required Skills/Experience/Education

  • BS/BA in Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
  • 15+ years of Government contracting experience in the areas of business development, program management, and/or customer relationship management
  • 10 years of supervisory or human resource management experience
  • Experience developing business in the Government market in the fields of information technology and cyber security
  • Ability to identify decision makers, quickly develop rapport, cultivate relationships and find ways that make it easier for customers to do business with NetCentrics
  • Ability to analyze data to understand the market and the competitive space to bring the right resources together to meet business objectives
  • Strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Proven ability to successfully reach, engage and influence decision-makers with results to show
  • Motivated, disciplined, and self-directed
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with decision makers at all levels and presenting complex information in a manner that is easily understood
  • Ability to “think outside the box” to offer new ideas, concepts, solutions, and team constructs
  • Must be a team player with exceptional people skills

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 10 years of previous Business Development experience, including tools and processes, within the Government procurement process.
  • As a contingency to employment at NetCentrics, all candidates who are given offers must successfully pass a full background investigation including criminal history, education and employment verifications
