Job Description

NetCentrics Corporation is a leading provider of enterprise systems management, solutions engineering, applications development, information assurance, computer network defense and cybersecurity for The Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies.

 

*Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • Compile data provided by Incident Management, analyze, and report 
  • Responsible for working with service owners and Problem Management Manager to identify reoccurring incidents and work to reduce these incidents from reoccurring
  • Generate adhoc reports of incident trends request by customer and management
  •  Responsible for completing Problem Management checklist which includes reviewing outage tracker looking for events that occur during business hours (shared responsibility with Event Management)
  • Monitor Problem Management queue
  •  Responsible for providing daily updates to Problem Management Manager on lifecycle of problem investigations
  • Responsible for running daily Master Ticket reports
  • Responsible for reviewing documents released by Problem Management Team
  • Responsible for monthly Problem Management report
  • Some Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting

Required Skills/Experience/Education

 

*Job Requirements (include min. years of exp, and specific technical tools, certifications):

  • One or more years’ experience in IT or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Requires good analytical and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with customer and support staff
  • Secret Clearance (or higher)
  • Must have working knowledge of Remedy and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have excellent skills in generating reports in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Security+ – IAT Level II
  • As a contingency to employment at NetCentrics, all candidates who are given offers must successfully pass a full background investigation including criminal history, education and employment verifications

     

Desired Experience/Skillsets (Nice to have but not required):

ITIL Foundation Certification

Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 experience
