Job Description

NetCentrics is a leading provider of enterprise systems management, solutions engineering, applications development, information assurance, computer network defense and cybersecurity for The Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies.


This position is for a Mid-Level System Administrator supporting our Department of Defense (DOD) contract, working in Arlington, VA.  The applicant will provide technical support for the installation, configuration, and administration of Windows operating systems. The applicant will also provide assistance with the administration of networking equipment.


Required Experience

Candidate must have 3-5 years of experience installing and configuring Windows Operating Systems to include Servers and Workstations. The ideal candidate will also have at least 1 year experience working with SQL, to include: installing, configuring, maintenance, backups, and restore.  As well as working knowledge of network protocols, IP addressing, and virtual computing concepts.


The applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Day to day operations and maintenance which include but not limited to; review of audit logs, creating backups of the data files, maintaining network equipment inventory
  • Server/Workstation Security and maintenance updates
  • SQL Maintenance across multiple systems
  • Creating New and Validating current and new backups of SQL Systems
  • Supporting COOP functions of Windows Systems with active SQL databases
  • Maintain system configuration documentation
  • Maintain system process and procedure documentation
  • Maintain patch versions and Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) levels on all network Servers, workstations, and laptops
  • Provide technical support and implementation for workstations, servers, and virtual terminals
  • Provide installation support for network systems applications
  • Support as needed DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF)


The applicant will work with other team members to analyze and resolve user problems and perform preventative maintenance. The applicant must be able to troubleshoot problems quickly, independently and through to completion. The applicant must be responsive and able to effectively work through difficult situations. The applicant must be available to support a flexible work schedule. The applicant must be skilled at working in a highly visible, fast paced environment, with minimal supervision and must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be a self-starter who can manage his/her own schedule accordingly.


Required Skills

  • This position is open to candidates who are clearable or possess an active DOD security clearance
  • IAT Level II Certification required
  • Excellent Customer Service, Verbal and Written Communication, and Team environments are required.
  • Desktop and Laptop Hardware, Software, and Operating System management.
  • Application and Networking Technologies
  • MS SQL DB maintenance and management
  • DOD experience a PLUS
