Job Description

NetCentrics is looking for a part time Senior Project Manager to facilitate, track and manage FISMA/RMF Cybersecurity Projects for our customer in the Denver, CO area.  Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National and be willing to submit to a federal background investigation. This program will require 20 hours per week.


In this position you will be working with a federal customer organizations and the customer to implement Security as a Service functionality. You will be the primary point of contact for our customer and responsible for maintaining a positive customer/contractor relationship. You will be providing contractor led services to support FISMA compliance activities to include monitoring and tracking compliance status, developing and improving processes, procedures, standards, guidance and templates, providing guidance on security control implementation guidance and process improvement and maturity initiatives. These services will be provided for approximately thirty authorized information systems, including one cloud system, and that have low or moderate security categorizations. All systems currently follow NIST SP 800-53 rev. 4 requirements and the NIST Risk Management Framework, and most have static point-in-time authorizations. You will be working to develop a plan to implement continuous monitoring activities, obtaining ongoing authorizations. You will lead the team developing Information System documentation, including Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) and recording them in a compliance reporting system.



  • BS in an computer related field of study
  • Demonstrated history managing FISMA compliance projects while meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • At least five years’ experience working with interagency teams to design, develop and implement FISMA compliant solutions that meet current and future business requirements and enhance and optimize the existing security architecture.
  • Knowledge and experience in writing policies, procedures, guidance, standards and instructional materials.
  • Demonstrated history of navigating complex environments and delivering results in spite of communications challenges.
  • 5+ years of knowledge and practical understanding of NIST SP 800 series, FISMA-related activities to include system security plans, contingency plans, incident response plans, configuration management plans, security control requirements and assessments, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and training requirements.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal Privacy requirements to include Privacy Impact Assessments PIA and personally identifiable information (PII).
  • As a contingency to employment at NetCentrics, all candidates who are given offers must successfully pass a full background investigation including criminal history, education and employment verifications.

  • Relevant Technical Certifications
  • Experience with tracking projects using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server
  • Experience Building/Maintaining and Administering a Microsoft Project Server environment
  • Knowledge of Best Practices for the design of Secure IT Environments
  • Knowledge of the Agile development cycle
  • Experience with Dashboard development for continuous review of IA compliance
  • Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Tool implementation
  • Recommended IT certifications include CISSP, CISA, CISM and GIAC
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
