  • Job Description

    NetCentrics provides the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies with leading IT services including IT Strategy, mission applications, infrastructure and platform services, cloud solutions, service delivery and cybersecurity.

     

    NetCentrics is looking for an experienced Part Time Network Administrator Shift Lead to support our team at the Pentagon. This position is open only to candidates with an activeTS/SCI security clearance. 

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides expert level analysis of voice, video, server, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices
    • Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments
    • Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements
    • May provide technical support and troubleshooting to tier 1 technical support
    • May perform network and server administration duties
    • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel and may have supervisory responsibilities
    • Serves as team leader of shift subordinates
    • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
    • Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas
    • Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support
    • Assists in the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products. Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products
    • Provides operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades
    • Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
    • Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
    • Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system
    • Designs, codes, tests and implements tools for operations automation
    • Works on most phases of software systems programming applications, and may require instruction and guidance in other phases
    • Participates in special projects as required
    • Will be responsible for monitoring What’s Up Gold and answering the Critical Infrastructure All Call Line

      Job Requirements:

       

    • Clearance: Current/Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligible
    • Certifications: IAT II (Security +)
    • Education: BA/BS in a technical discipline (years of experience may be used in lieu of education)
    • Years of Experience:
      • 5 years of relevant technical network administrator experience
    • Hours: Core hours are 6am-6pm Sundays
    • Experience directing staff in a management or team lead role
